She stayed with me and waited until he arrived, ensuring we were supported every step of the way.
My 20-year-old son, C, was in a motorcycle accident, and Lavinia was our nurse. From the moment we arrived, she was exceptional. She met every need with such attentiveness and compassion, and she helped keep my son calm during an incredibly painful and overwhelming time.

At one point, I asked if there was a vending machine, and instead, Lavinia kindly asked what I liked from Starbucks and ordered it for me. When I tried to pay her back, she gently refused and told me to just enjoy it. That simple act meant more to me than she could ever know.

My son arrived covered in gasoline, and his clothing had to be cut off and placed in a bag. Lavinia explained that due to the strong smell, the items would likely be discarded if not taken home. When my husband arrived, she personally carried the large, heavy bag filled with gasoline-soaked clothes, motorcycle boots, and his helmet all the way to the emergency room exit. She stayed with me and waited until he arrived, ensuring we were supported every step of the way.

Lavinia went far beyond providing excellent medical care. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine concern touched me deeply as a mother watching her child in pain. In a moment where I felt helpless and afraid, she brought comfort, reassurance, and a sense of peace. Her care extended beyond clinical skill—it was heartfelt, human, and unforgettable.
