I presented to the ER with right upper quadrant pain. We waited 4 hours in the ER waiting room. I was in severe pain, needing my Gallbladder removed. After a swift exam/ultrasound, I was admitted to the Hospital around midnight. I was scared and in pain alone as my husband left to take care of our 16-year-old needs. The reason I was scared was that I was facing yet another surgery.

A few years ago, I presented to the ER post lithotripsy botched by MFC. So, to sum this up, Aspirus Urology saved me! I was ill for quite some time with right kidney failure. A few years later, I presented to your ER with a stroke. Again, you fixed me! But this time, it was different with my gallbladder. I was scared of yet another surgery. As mentioned before, I was alone when I arrived at my room. Immediately, I was greeted by Lori, who took the time to explain everything and reassure me she would take excellent care of me and that I wasn’t alone. As a nurse myself, I know the strains of staffing a facility.

After being in the ER waiting area and ER for 12 hours, Lori is just what I needed for positive reassurance. Lori made me feel welcome and safe! Lori went above and beyond for me that night, as well as my discharge night. I can’t thank her enough for the professional yet personal service. Your motto is Passion for Excellence, Compassion for People. I would like you to recognize Lori for providing that care, as you stated above. The long wait and ER were not fun at all, but Lori did excellent service recovery by being the excellent nurse that she is. I was truly blessed to have Lori care for me in this situation. She made me feel safe and at home. She provided the excellent care that I needed. You should be proud to have her on your team. Lori exemplifies the true meaning of compassion for people and excellent care.
