Lauren is a beautiful, caring nurse who genuinely embodies all the qualities and dedication that are a Nurse. Lauren cared for our grandbabies, V and S, in the NICU. When we first met, she was friendly and welcoming. She immediately introduced herself and addressed us as N and G. Our children were clearly speaking of us, and Lauren cared enough to listen and remember some small details that showed how much she cared.

Our children took time to spend an evening in Wilmington for a little time together. Lauren created little baby footprints to take with them, so D and K could feel that the babies were near. She even went above and beyond to use purple and yellow to align with the babies’ names of S and V. Small gestures such as this are not part of Lauren’s job description, nor are they expected. These actions are absolute proof and a demonstration of how deeply she cares and how staunch her dedication runs. We are writing this in hopes that Lauren will be recognized for her efforts and for making each of us smile. During a very emotional time in our lives, Lauren brought a sense of calm and reassurance that those looking after our grandbabies care for them as much as we do.
