I’ve had the pleasure of working with Lauren for almost 2 years. Every single shift, she is exceptional. Exceptional to her patients, to her team, to the doctors, to other units, etc. When you work alongside someone for 2 years, you see all their sides - the good, bad, and ugly. Yet with Lauren, I’ve only ever seen one side - exceptional. I’ve seen her train numerous new nurses and new hires - she is endlessly patient. She answers every question, is kind, very hard working, and in my mind - the Gold Standard of a Nurse. She absolutely deserves a DAISY Award. Lauren has made an impact on me so strong that I will always strive to be the kind of nurse, employee, team member, and person that Lauren is. Although I will likely not ever reach her, I will strive to. I sincerely hope Lauren receives this award, as I know she has enhanced the lives of thousands in her time as a nurse.
