Laura Rivera, BSN, RN

During my daughter's delivery experience, Laura made a significant contribution to the success of the birth and the birth experience for both my daughter and the whole family. She was not only her nurse but my daughter's advocate, as they listened to her needs and concerns and validated her feelings during a stressful and vulnerable time. 

Laura was very calm and reassuring during some stressful moments as the baby experienced decelerations and people were talking about the possible need for a C-section. When my daughter was concerned about getting an epidural, Laura advocated for her by speaking to the rest of the care team and helping her make informed decisions that aligned with what she envisioned for her birth plan. 

Laura brings compassion, skill, and calmness to a time that can be overwhelming and feel like chaos. My daughter was treated with dignity and compassion, as was the entire family. Laura is a valuable part of the care team in labor and delivery, and thanks to her, my daughter can look back at her birth experience with gratitude and joy. 

Laura Rivera exemplifies the true meaning of being a nurse, and we are extremely thankful for their compassion and advocacy with our daughter. We can't say enough wonderful things about her.
