Laura was absolutely amazing! I was fortunate enough to have her for two shifts during my hospital stay. I do not think my view would have been as positive without her. She just started her shift as I started Pitocin for a scheduled induction. Even though it would be my third delivery, she fully explained the whole process.

My doctor was in surgery all morning, so Laura kept me up to date about my progress and the conversations she was having with my doctor. During the stress of contractions she built a relationship with me and kept me positive. Right around shift change, my delivery turned into an emergency, and I needed to have a C-section. Laura was by me during the whole shift change and kept me calm, and explained what would happen next. She assured me everything would be okay and made sure the new nurses knew how to comfort me.

Luckily, I got to see Laura again before I was discharged, and she made sure I was doing well both mentally and physically. My positive outlook on a potentially traumatic birth can largely be owed to Laura. Thank you so much, Laura, for being part of our baby's birthday story!
