Laura O'Brien and Madeline Gerace are two wonderful nurses that I feel deserve recognition because although I'm sure they feel they are just doing everyday duties for their patients, they went the extra mile and were all smiles. Today was a fun-filled day with lots of things like getting their patient D a haircut, shampoo and cleanup, and a trach change. On top of all that, they also spent a good bit of time teaching Dad about trach change and suctioning. After all was done, D was left refreshed, looking great, and his room super clean. Although they could have called housekeeping, these ladies assisted in cleaning up some of the water off the floor (from haircut/shampoo) to avoid any safety hazards. They did a lot, and we honestly felt they enjoyed helping D and the family.
