In my lifetime, I have been hospitalized more than 70 times and have met hundreds of nurses. Laura Doran is definitely one of the best nurses that I have ever received care from. She possesses all of the qualities of an exemplary nurse. She is kind, compassionate, attentive, punctual, diligent, and understanding towards my concerns.
The first time that I met her, I was very impressed with her upbeat personality and her sincere interest in my medical needs. She also has one of the most important qualities for a nurse in that she is an excellent listener. Whenever a medical challenge arose, I knew that Laura was listening to me closely. And perhaps most importantly, she often gave me words of encouragement.
As a frequent patient, I am keenly aware that a nurse can have a profound impact on the quality of a hospital stay, so it seemed both fitting and necessary for me to submit this nomination to recognize Laura.
