To begin with, I’d like to extend a huge thank you to the Oak Creek team. When I’m not feeling well, I always make a visit to the Froedtert Oak Creek Urgent Care. Today, I visited the Oak Creek Emergency Department for the first time, and welcoming and impressive is an understatement to say the least.

It started with the receptionist very friendly and operated with urgency to assist me, she even helped me update my home address that was misspelled. Moving on to the doctor of the night, who did an excellent job educating me on my health and making sure I had a solid understanding before leaving. Saving the best for last, my nurse of the night, Toya, I think it’s safe to say it’s one of the most heartwarming interactions I’ve ever had in my life! My parents are deceased, and my partner hasn’t made it to the ER yet, as he was driving from Waukesha. Toya ensured that I was at ease and comfortable during a time of panic and distress, being in the ER. She had a way of taking my mind off the pain, solely from an upbeat conversation and her genuine care. It’s rare that you find people who are actually working because they enjoy what they do, caring seems so natural for her.

Instead of staying in a mind of despair, I left the ER with a smile and a lower blood pressure from being at ease. She even recommended other local Froedtert Urgent Cares and Hospital locations so I wouldn’t have to drive too far for care. Google Maps in Human form, how nice! All in all, I didn’t think a trip to the ER would turn out so nicely. Thank you all for everything you do and every day that you show up for your patients. Kudos to you all and keep it up!
