I would like to nominate Nurse Latarsha Harrison for the DAISY Award. I live about 70 miles west of Lafayette and ended up having surgery here because of a less-than-optimal medical experience in my hometown. Nurse Harrison provided excellent healthcare to me and has made my family very comfortable here during their hospital stay with me. She has been attentive to all my needs, even when I didn’t know my needs. She has thoroughly explained every medication she’s issued and every instrument I’ve been attached to and why I’m attached to it. She’s polite, professional, and provides all services rendered by the book. My experience for the past two days here has been nothing less than first class. If nurses like Nurse Harrison continue in the healthcare profession, I will feel very safe and secure, growing old and being taken care of by nurses like Nurse Latarsha Harrison!!
