I was 38 weeks pregnant and admitted to labor and delivery from the ER due to some frightening news. Laiken was my nurse from the start. Everything was moving so quickly, and I had no intention of having a baby during my visit. Laiken told us that we are not leaving this hospital and will have our baby soon. Laiken was there through every single step of the way! She ensured that I was always informed about the plan, my options, and what we needed to see for a specific outcome. She was very diligent in ensuring that I had every need of mine met during my stay and that I was overall comfortable. She was concerned for my family and was happy to answer their questions. Laiken felt like family. It was evident in her knowledge and skills throughout the entire process. For example, we had levels dropping when they shouldn't and more often than they should. Before we could even question it, she was there to point it out and help alleviate the problem. Laiken's overall demeanor, compassion, and diligence made a huge impact on my stay and my overall mental state as I went through all of this so quickly and abruptly. She went above and beyond what I expected any nurse to do! Laiken, you are amazing!
