Paul “Kyle” Ferguson is a tremendous resource – knowledgeable, creative, and consistently committed to keeping our team informed and confident in their practice. He actively contributes to CPC the PIVIE Committee and has assisted PDC with CAP projects.

Kyle continually finds innovative ways to engage the unit. His weekly Friday note provides policy updates, unit information, and even his own Bitmoji, bringing both clarity and personality to important educational content. He has created a TikTok account specifically for the 10th floor to share practical how-to videos on skills and competencies, and he uses Slack to give staff easy access to policies and resources at Le Bonheur.

Although Kyle primarily works Monday through Friday, he regularly adjusts his schedule to support weekend night-shift team members. He is especially dedicated to our new graduate nurses, checking in frequently to ensure they feel comfortable, supported, and provided with ample opportunities to learn new skills and adapt to the flow of bedside nursing. Kyle also ensures that preceptors feel supported, acknowledging the challenges of balancing patient care with teaching responsibilities. To enhance his teaching and maintain his clinical sharpness, he even picks up weekend shifts on the floor so he can better relate competencies to real bedside practice.

Our staff wants to emphasize Kyle’s remarkable talent and creativity as an educator. They describe him as someone who develops hands-on learning tools, crafts original and engaging educational examples, and consistently produces weekly updates that reflect deep understanding, genuine enthusiasm, and innovative thinking. His mastery of policies, procedures, and clinical skills is exceptional, yet he remains approachable, warm, and deeply engaging - qualities that make staff excited to learn from him. His presence has truly elevated the educational culture of our floor.

The 10th floor staff is sincerely grateful for Kyle’s dedication to continuous learning and his unwavering commitment to sharing his knowledge with others. When he doesn't immediately have an answer, he is quick to research, collaborate, and provide the best possible solution. He is an outstanding educator, a dependable resource, and a tremendous asset to our team.
We are honored to recognize his remarkable contributions to our unit.

Thank you, Kyle, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
