I don't have a story per se. I remember feeling discouraged because it was 10 or so days before Christmas, and the hospital was the last place I wanted to be. My nurse, Krystle, picked up on my mood. She was very kind and friendly. She was a good listener, and she cared about how I felt. She was gentle when it came to sticking me, and her smile and sense of peace were contagious. She helped me leave my sour mood and remember my blessings instead, like this wonderful nurse taking care of me! I remember she had me even laughing. I could tell that this girl had chosen the right profession. I had never met another quite like her, and she most certainly deserves this award. She is dedicated, careful, and kind, as well as professional and compassionate. She was selfless, no matter how tired she might be feeling I never know because she put my needs first. Please pass my gratitude to Krystle for being such a great nurse!
