Upon arriving at the hospital, I was in heavy pain. It seemed like every nurse was too busy to help my husband and me out until a security guard showed us up to the labor and delivery unit. Right away, Krystal opened the door, and Krystal could immediately tell how much pain I was in and took me into a room right away. Krystal made me feel safe and validated in my pain.

Krystal checked me out right away and confirmed I would be staying to deliver my baby. Krystal addressed what my needs and wants were in that exact moment- but also was so loving and respectful to the fact that I could not bear to speak through each contraction. Krystal took charge of the situation at hand and advocated for my medication-free delivery that I originally wanted. Krystal anticipated that, in the event I would change my mind, to have the paperwork out of the way just in case I needed an epidural.

Krystal’s ability to work promptly while simultaneously demonstrating love and compassion for me was unmatched. When delivering the baby, Krystal remained calm and helped the delivery go as smoothly as possible. This being my third baby, I was apprehensive and scared, but Krystal stood out and made my birth story an unforgettable delivery, and it will forever be in my memory.

So, thank you Krystal from the bottom of my heart, you were a part of one of the most precious times of my life and you made it that much more special.
