Nurse Kristy Hyman is such an asset to Greensville Correctional Center. She continues to go above and beyond at VADOC's most populated facility. Nurse Hyman went through some personal health challenges that would have broken many other people. However, she continued to work and provide support to her facility and patients. It takes the heart of a phenomenal nurse to take care of a patient while you yourself are a patient. She should be celebrated and applauded for her dedication to the Virginia Department of Corrections and the patients at her facility.

Kristy Hyman is the infection control nurse at Greensville Correctional Center. I watched Mrs. Hyman deal with her own health issues and still rocked her position at work, which was very vital during the pandemic. Mrs. Hyman is a team player with a positive attitude that don't mind helping others or filling in where there is a need. Mrs. Hyman is the true definition of a Healthcare Hero.
