Kristin always delivers the best patient care not only because she possesses strong clinical reasoning, advanced problem-solving abilities, and an excellent understanding of disease processes but also because she demonstrates genuine compassion, empathy, and kindness. A few weeks ago, we performed a very high-risk heart surgery. During the post-operative period, the patient had his birthday. She went and bought balloons and brought all of us into the patient’s room, and we sang Happy Birthday. The patient was very excited and tearful. I believe after this incident, she expedited his recovery. Kristin always goes above and beyond with patient care.
