With a career spanning more than 30 years, Kristi is the quintessential nursing professional. Her unmatched love of nursing, her positive energy, her servant leadership style and her unwavering support for clinical teams set her apart. She worked tirelessly to foster a nursing culture rooted in excellence, respect, camaraderie and kindness.

At MultiCare, she raised the bar for nursing excellence and education — establishing and supporting shared leadership that empowers, develops, recognizes and celebrates our nurses and championing transformational initiatives that improve patient safety, care quality and nurse experience. She is an exemplar of an HRO leader, inspiring and advocating for her colleagues.

The CNE for MultiCare Tacoma General and MultiCare Allenmore hospitals, shares: “Kristi has been a fearless and dedicated supporter of nursing practice. She has successfully responded to extensive challenges — including COVID and significant RN vacancies — while always being the voice of exceptional and safe patient care even in the midst of adversity. She is the Florence Nightingale carrying the lantern, making sure we are staying true to our practices and nursing roots.”

Kristi's accomplishments are plentiful and meaningful not only for patients and staff but also for the profession of nursing. Kristi always strives to leave everything she touches better in many ways — more organized, efficient, compassionate.

She has been an invaluable leader for both the systemwide nursing enterprise’s journey to excellence and in establishing structural empowerment at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital.

We are deeply grateful for Kristi’s leadership and commitment to her teams, patients and MultiCare. It has been an honor and a privilege to be one of Kristi’s colleagues. We all stand on the shoulders of those who came before us — Kristi’s impact on nursing will be felt for many generations to come.
