I brought my sick scared daughter into the ER after a night of ear pain. I didn't do anything at home prior as for meds or anything because she woke up in significant pain. I wanted to be sure ER could treat her. My daughter did not want to go. She didn't want anything to do with going to the hospital. When arriving and getting checked in, Kristan came right out to introduce herself to me and my daughter and ask if she could help us. My Daughter, who was so scared to come into the hospital, I felt relax in my arms. We walked back to the room, and she made great conversation and provided a safe and true healing environment, especially for me at this point because I was so scared for my daughter. Her confidence gave me the strength to be calm and strong for my daughter. Kristen was assuring to my daughter about her medicines being important to help her, and my daughter was happy to take them from her with no problem! The trust! I cannot express the bond I felt she created with my daughter with this being an unfortunate situation, we are forever thankful for her, and so happy to know she is part of our community ER. She is what our kids need.
