She was honest with me in the most compassionate way when things were not going well.
I was recently hospitalized on the labor and delivery floor due to PPROM and was in the hospital for about 5 days. In the last couple of days, I had Kristal as my nurse. Due to everything going on I was on strict bed rest and I was generally terrified to move at all. Kristal helped me bathe and helped alleviate my fears about moving around. The next day I had her as my nurse again and I ended up going into preterm labor. Kristal was supportive and compassionate as my husband and I faced losing our baby. She was attentive and was very quick to respond if I called for help. She was honest with me in the most compassionate way when things were not going well. I could see that she truly cared for us and our baby. Near the end of her shift, I was very close to delivery and Kristal stayed late after her shift had ended and saw me through delivering my stillborn daughter. It meant so much to me that she saw me through that difficult process and she was such a comfort to me and my family. I feel that she went above and beyond what I would expect of a nurse and I am thankful for her.
