Kolbi was an amazing nurse. Some nurses will just kind of go through the motions and do all the busy work. Some will be really chatty and not get to the important things. Some are really good about responding to requests and getting people what they ask for. Kolbi was operating at a higher level than the other nurses. Not only was she friendly and getting things done and responding to requests, but she was anticipating needs and solving problems before they arrived or as they arrived in the quickest possible fashion. She had intelligence and intuition that allowed for really excellent care.

I felt safer under her care as I was recovering from open-heart surgery. When other nurses were struggling to figure out why I was lightheaded, weak, and shaking, she was called into the room, and she immediately recognized I was suffering from low blood sugar. She quickly solved the problem by getting me the care that I needed and putting in notes that allowed the doctor to make adjustments to my medication that stopped these episodes from happening again. I felt so much better and was so grateful to her quick thinking and quick action. She helped keep me comfortable consistently. She was the absolute best. She offered great education, which helped me set proper expectations for my recovery and helped me manage pain appropriately. I will be forever grateful for her presence during some dark days and nights.
