I would first like to say thank you to all the nurses during my wife’s stay. They were all really nice and considerate. My wife actually was in the hospital on the 3rd floor twice, on or about a 2-week span, and ended up in hospice care in the end. In her approximately 7 days in the hospital she was treated very well from everybody. All the way from the food delivery people to the nurses to the doctors. Basically, the entire staff from top to bottom. I really feel a little awkward for thanking these 2 ladies because everybody was great, but these 2 ladies went over and beyond their jobs for us.

I will never forget Bailey Wirth for what she did to help us out, just getting my wife into hospice care in the first place. We were actually told at one time that my wife wasn’t going to be accepted into hospice care after we were just told just an hour or two before that she was going to be accepted. You talk about some very mixed emotions for a couple of hours there when we were told no after being told yes. I don’t mean to sound morbid but I basically felt and told Bailey that my wife would’ve died on me before I even got her home. She passed a day and a half after being admitted to hospice, thanks to Bailey Wirth, so to me personally, she is God's Savior (for me) at the very end, when it meant the most.

As for Erica Steffey, she was the most caring, compassionate nurse during our stay in hospice. I do understand that it’s a different situation when you're in hospice care, but she went well over and beyond what I ever expected. As a little bit of a joke, if nurses are being trained by someone, she would be the perfect nurse to do the training. I sure hope these nurses get some kind of recognition for what they did for me and my family, because we’ll always be grateful for everything and everyone during our stay. Thank you all again for the kind and thoughtful care we were given.

I would also like to add from the other page that I’m donating money in memory of my loving wife, because of the great sympathy and care we were given, especially from Erica Steffey and Bailey Wirth. I’m going to do the best I can to donate every year on the day my wife passed away, hopefully for the rest of my life, in memory of my wife. Thank you very much again.
