July 2026 Honoree
Kimberly Rush, RN
Kimberly Rush, RN, Labor and Delivery, was nominated by a patient for lending exceptional care during a difficult birth. A patient who came in for an induction was not responding well to medication, which caused her labor to last for days. Kim came in regularly not only to administer medications but to offer encouragement to a patient who was feeling discouraged. She also worked with the patient on different labor positions in a way that made the patient feel safe and supported. “What makes Kim extraordinary is not only her clinical knowledge but also the genuine care she shows her patients. During one of the most vulnerable moments of my life, she gave me strength when I felt like giving up. She believed in me when I wasn’t sure my body could do it, and her confidence gave me hope,” the nominator says. “She made such a lasting impact on my life and on my family’s story. When I look back on my son’s birth, I don’t just remember the long induction; I remember the nurse who stood by me, encouraged me, and never stopped advocating for me.” Thank you, Kimberly, for providing compassionate care to your patients.
Thank you, Kimberly, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
