I am nominating Kim Morel for the 2026 DAISY Award with Uniti Med. She has been on assignments with us since the summer of 2025 and has extensive experience in both acute care and long‑term care.

Her first assignment with us was in Alaska, where she was often the only nurse in a small critical access hospital. She worked closely with the facility team and me to ensure a seamless start, asking thoughtful questions and taking the time to understand building policies. She provides consistent care for patients and, although she was quickly requested to extend, she chose to return home for the winter months to be near her family—including her daughter, who is on her own LVN‑to‑RN journey just like her mom!

Her second contract with us was at a vendor facility, where she faced the challenges common in a busy LTC setting: demanding schedules, high ratios, and limited support. Once again, Kim excelled and was quickly offered an extension. When we spoke on the phone, usually weekly, she remained professional and consistently maintained that she goes above and beyond to meet her patients' needs.

Her third contract with Uniti Med is at Rolling Hills Nursing and Rehab, where she played a key role in securing a brand‑new partnership with the facility. She has worked closely with management to help open a new wing and is now preparing to begin her extension with them.

Kim collaborates with me consistently as her recruiter, always transparent, communicative, and open to feedback. Facilities routinely provide positive feedback when requesting extensions or offering comments on her performance. She is an absolute pleasure to work with.
