Nurse Kimberly McNeil-Craig was the best, most compassionate nurse we could have ever asked for. She came on shift and showed me, my husband, and our angel baby the most respect and compassion. She only had me as her patient on shift, and she sat there for hours talking with me and my husband and comforting us in this time of need. I had to make the most difficult decision of our lives to let our baby go to heaven at 23 weeks due to my life-threatening condition, and nurse Kim did everything she could for us. She made sure to go over and beyond for us so that we could be more comfortable during this hard time. Not only did we lose our baby, but I also had to go through extensive surgery that almost took my life. Kim made sure the entire staff was on board with what we wanted. She is one of the nurses we trusted with our lives and have never felt so taken care of. Not only did she stay by our side the day of saying goodbye to our baby, but she also made sure that the next day, she assisted being by my side during surgery. Kim made me feel safe and loved, giving me the utmost respect for all of us. If anyone should be recognized for being authentic and compassionate, it's her.
