Kim has gone to the edges of the earth and back for excellent care in the vascular OR space. She is an excellent nurse, and she is able to help us in the most acute situations. For instance, we recently had a ruptured aneurysm that was repaired using an endovascular technique. She has been able to not only technically perform at a very high level with wire and catheter manipulation, operative set up in an expeditious manner also helping minimize potentially significant pre op delays in terms of getting the patient through the pre-op area and making sure, especially for critically ill vascular patients, there are no hang-ups. She can efficiently do a preop nursing huddle and redirect any concerns from the preop area. She is extremely helpful with patients, reassuring them and delivering excellent care overall. This particular case involves a patient with a ruptured aneurysm, which was extremely time sensitive and potentially life-saving in terms of moving the patient into the operating room in an efficient manner.
