May 2026 Honoree
Kenzie Stewart, RN, BSN, B.S. E.d.
I just want to take a moment to lift up Nurse Kenzie from Labor and Delivery. When I came into L&D not feeling my best, she greeted me with such warmth and light. From the very first moment, her spirit was gentle, comforting, and genuinely caring. She carried a calming presence that felt almost God-sent, easing my worries when I needed it most.
Thank you for showing such kindness, compassion, and grace. I was truly saddened when the shift changed, because your presence was a blessing.
---
I am honored to nominate Kenzie for the DAISY Award because she embodies everything nursing is meant to be—clinical excellence, compassion, advocacy, and heart. Kenzie has a light in her that is impossible to ignore. It brings calm to chaos, comfort to fear, and hope to patients during some of their most vulnerable moments.
Kenzie carries herself with a steady confidence and quiet strength that reassures everyone around her. Her clinical judgment is exceptional, and she is attentive to even the smallest details. She anticipates patient needs, responds quickly to changes, and always prioritizes safety. Her patients are not only well cared for medically—they are cared for emotionally and personally.
What makes Kenzie extraordinary is the way she connects with people. She treats every patient with dignity, kindness, and genuine compassion. She listens without rushing, comforts without hesitation, and advocates without fear. She has a rare ability to make patients feel seen, valued, and safe. Her presence alone often brings peace in situations filled with uncertainty.
As a coworker, Kenzie is equally remarkable. She is always willing to help, support, and uplift those around her. She steps in without being asked, encourages others when they are struggling, and contributes to a culture of teamwork and trust. Her light extends beyond her patients—it strengthens the entire team.
Kenzie does not do this work for recognition. She does it because caring for others is who she is at her core. She makes a lasting impact on every patient and coworker fortunate enough to cross her path. Our unit is better because of her, and our patients are safer because of her.
Kenzie truly deserves the DAISY Award.
