I can not even express the gratitude and love I have for her.
Kennedy was my nurse while in labor with my baby boy. Although labor was not exactly how we had planned, she made sure we knew we were cared for. While in labor, we went from progressing well, baby’s vitals were fine, to having meconium stained amniotic fluid and needing an emergency c-section.
After being in the OR and delivering a baby, it wasn’t your average delivery. Neither me nor my husband were able to hold him due to aspiration, and he was immediately taken out of the OR and sent to a different hospital in a different town. I requested my husband to go with him to make sure he had someone there with him. So having my baby separated from me the second that he was born, being a first time mom, having to be separated from my husband, not being able to hold my baby at all, and everything else that happened that night, Kennedy made sure that I was well taken care of.
She made me feel so much better given the circumstances we were under. She made sure that I had all the information I needed, she helped me with absolutely everything that I needed plus some. This was by far not how I wanted or expected my delivery to go, but Kennedy made sure I knew I was heard, loved, and taken care of. I can not even express the gratitude and love I have for her. She is an amazing nurse and I will always remember her being a part of my life and my son's.
