Kenisha McCarthy, RN

Kenisha’s warmth, compassion, and professionalism made a difficult situation much better. My friend had cognitive confusion, leading to her care and personal belongings needing to be “tracked down”. Kenisha helped so much with that process. She also provided such warm care that my friend felt safe with her and was less upset. She is a wonderful nurse and a true blessing to her patients.

The memorable things I can recall are the following: Kenisha is always very calm and professional regardless of the situation in the room, even when having to share not-so-good information; her tone and professionalism prepare you for her words. She is extremely genuine and honest. When she provides care, it’s felt with compassion and professionalism. Upon meeting her, you feel you’ve met a trustworthy nurse. I have interacted with Nurse Kenisha on several occasions but never knew about this award! Upon finding out about this DAISY Award, I felt compelled to share! She is a jewel in the midst of many rocks. Kenisha is one of the extraordinary staff who care for our individuals. Without her, their stay at Vista would not be at the level of excellence that she provides. Kenisha is consistent; her smile and greetings are real and heartfelt, and then she transforms into this superwoman, and everything she has learned and been taught, along with her personal touch, goes into action! She begins to change patients’ lives as they are under her care and receive her touch to bring comfort, honesty, and compassion. Again, this has happened each time I’ve encountered her at Vista! Kenisha, this is my way of just saying thank you again for being an outstanding person whose profession is a Super Nurse!
