Kendra was my night nurse during the first night after my hip replacement surgery.

Following a very bad experience at another hospital, my daughter had insisted that she would never leave me alone at a hospital again. But as soon as Ms. Page came into my room, I knew that I would be in capable hands!

There is something about her very demeanor that inspires confidence in a patient. I told my daughter at once that she could go home, as I was in very good hands!

As the night progressed, Ms. Page proved that my initial, immediate assessment had been correct! She assumed my care with such professionalism and confidence that I knew I had nothing to worry about. She answered my many questions with patience and anticipated my every need.

She even took the time to explain to this 87-year-old, feeble Gramma what to expect after discharge in the morning! I definitely had a special nurse caring for me that night!

Ms. Page followed all protocol professionally. Post surgery, I was a bit confused and frightened, but she treated me with respect and compassion, reassuring me that all was well and that she would be with me to care for my needs.

She has an uncanny ability to make her patients feel “at home” and safe.

What a blessing it was to receive my healthcare at OI Northwest, and an additional blessing to have Ms. Page on my care team!

Kendra is the most gracious nurse I have ever met. Her compassion to put up with this grumpy post-anesthesia old man is amazing.
