Our son has been in the NICU for two weeks; he was born prematurely at 35 weeks. We had no idea what to expect with him being our first baby. After a few days, we had no idea how long we had been in the NICU, and our thoughts were running wild with the unknown. Kendra Bauer noticed this and immediately stopped what she was doing to make us feel comfortable. Within minutes, she removed our uncertainty about all the new things we would have to go through. She could tell we had been spiraling with worry about the unknown, the millions of questions we had, and the heartache of not knowing what to do. She went beyond the call of duty to make us calm and comfortable by answering everything we ever asked. She took the time to help us work through how to deal with being in the NICU and walked us through his care, explaining what she was doing and how she was taking care of all the necessary steps. She provided the highest quality care for my family and exceeded my expectations of a nurse! What a wonderful person she is inside and out! We are so blessed and thankful to have had her care for our son. Our time in the NICU has been one of the most challenging two weeks of our lives, but Kendra made us feel at home and never made us feel like having a hard day was unusual! Her honesty with us, her integrity, and her kindness made it much more of an experience of a lifetime! We couldn't thank her enough for taking such excellent care of our son and us! She's one of the best; her heart is pure GOLD!! There is nothing we would change about our stay, experience, or anything else!
