Testimony from a relative of a patient:

I write to express my heartfelt appreciation to one staff I met in this hospital who captured my attention and gained my appreciation. My first encounter with this guy happened when my wife’s doctor advised her to undergo a colonoscopy procedure to determine her present illness. Since the procedure requires some preparation, the doctor referred me to a certain staff of the treatment room who will brief me on the dos and don’ts of the preparation. Since the staff nurse who was referred to me was not available, it was this young, accommodating, and soft-spoken guy who explained to me the needed preparation. At once, I felt his sincerity in assisting me by reiterating to me what should be done days prior to the procedure making sure that I fully understood every detail of the preparation. Perhaps sensing that I might not understand medical terms, he explained to me in simple layman’s medical terms. Well, he is right because I am a retired bank officer and medical terms are strange to me.

You may ask why only now? Well because since day one and until after the procedure was completed, I failed to know his name. Not until I went back to the hospital for my wife’s check-up that we met again. Unexpectedly, he recognized me among the many patients waiting and greeted me as if we were old friends. I felt obligated to expose the goodness of this nurse whom later I know that his name is Ryan Palacol of the treatment room. Based on our brief encounter, I could sense that nurse Ryan is indeed a well-deserving hospital staff whose way of interacting with anyone, patient or non-patient would surely boost the good reputation of the hospital.

Keep up the good work Nurse Ryan and continue to be an inspiration to your co-staff. You are really walking the extra mile for the satisfaction of those who need help, way beyond your call of duty. Again, thank you Nurse Ryan you are really a pride and asset to the institution you are serving.
