When it came time for the patient to be discharged, she cried, expressing how much she would miss Kelsey.
Kelsey So shows exceptional compassion, empathy, and dedication. Working on a busy unit, Kelsey consistently brings positivity and light to every shift. She never complains, no matter how challenging things get, and always finds ways to support both our team and our patients.

One of the most memorable experiences I have of Kelsey’s care was with a patient who had a kidney transplant but had complications. This patient was with us for 4-5 months, and Kelsey provided the most gentle and compassionate care throughout her entire stay. She was always patient when repositioning, feeding, and dressing the patient, ensuring her comfort and dignity at all times.

When it came time for the patient to be discharged, she cried, expressing how much she would miss Kelsey. The impact Kelsey had on her recovery was profound, and it was clear that her kindness played a significant role in helping this patient improve. As the social chair, Kelsey also planned a beautiful Christmas party for the unit, and despite facing personal challenges, she never faltered in her dedication to our team. She even made time to decorate and host a bridal shower for a soon-to-be bride, continuing to lift others up in the midst of her own struggles.

Kelsey’s ability to balance personal challenges while remaining a source of kindness and support for her colleagues and patients truly embodies compassion. She is a remarkable person, and I believe she deserves to be recognized for the extraordinary impact she has on everyone around her.

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I was overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. Nurse Kelsey made an incredible difference in my care. She took the time to speak with me in my native language, which instantly made me feel more at ease. Her ability to communicate in a way that I fully understood helped reduce my anxiety during a time when everything felt so overwhelming.

One day, when I was feeling particularly low, Kelsey shared a happy story about her love for baking. She told me how baking brought her peace and joy, and her passion for it was contagious. It lightened the mood and made me feel more comfortable in a difficult moment. Kelsey was incredibly accommodating, always checking in on me and ensuring I was comfortable with every step of my treatment. Her thoughtful approach and compassionate care made me feel truly supported during such a challenging time.
