My friend had started demonstrating stroke symptoms at a St. Patrick’s Day party. He wasn’t acting right, and we jumped in the car and headed to the hospital. My friend is 59 years old, and this whole ordeal was terrifying, confusing, and super stressful! Thanks to the team, he is alive! More specifically, his nurse, Kelly, spent every moment she could watching and attending, and most importantly, explaining what was happening.

She diligently chased down reports and doctors, searching for answers to our questions. She calmed our fears. She held our hand and, in the most compassionate way, she helped us to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Honestly, I have never ever had a better nurse or a more compassionate person through such a terrible time. I so wish I had met her to guide me through other illnesses and my family.  She is special, she is gifted with the grace of God. You're so lucky to have her!
