It was found that the patient had some very concerning areas that were more than certainly cancerous. Post-op, Kellea noticed that a patient's wife was sitting alone in the lobby, very upset with the news she was given about the surgical findings.

Kellea took it upon herself to stop and check on the patient's wife and offer some attention to her while her husband was still in recovery. Kel showed true compassion and took steps to ensure the patient and his family were informed and felt cared for in this uncertain time.

Taking a couple of minutes out of her day to show compassion and care for not only the patient but his family really executes OhioHealth's core values!! You're amazing, Kellea!
