Keith Grassia is a really good nurse. I was in the hospital for over a month. I had the privilege to be a swing bed patient. I was so upset and in pain, but Keith changed the experience with his care. I was not medicated when the debridement started on my elbow, and I was shaking and crying. That is when I met Keith. Keith was immediately concerned and gave me wonderful care. He is so professional and clean-cut. He introduced himself with a nursing student. He checked on me and held my hand while I was crying and falling apart. He asked me what he could do to help. I know he had three other patients. I can hear the other patients he took care of, but he never made me feel rushed. Keith calmed me and made sure to take care of my needs.

During handoff to another nurse, he made sure that the nurse knew that I needed a little more time and care. I could hear the other patients needing help, but Keith never rushed me and was very patient and truly listened to me. Keith also assisted with the wound changes with the nurse student. He made a point of asking me how I take my coffee, one cream and two sugars. Keith remembered how I take my coffee when he brought my coffee with a smile.
