Besides the above and beyond attentiveness to my son's medical needs and daily comfort during his stay at MCHD, she took the time to find out the things that he liked so that she could make him feel less institutionalized and more in touch with life that he loves and misses so much. She found out about his love of hunting when visiting with him and told him that she had an idea and would be back the next day to surprise him. She had her husband go buy two Nerf guns so that he could go out into the hallway with the nurse's aide and shoot one another back and forth with the foam bullets. This made his day! He was able to laugh and get his mind off of his broken hip pain and the struggle that he has mentally due to not being able to walk and enjoy the life he once knew after his traumatic brain injury in 2023. She is truly an amazing care provider and knowledgeable about his medical needs. I have been in a hospital/rehab setting for 15 months at some of the best facilities in Texas. I know an exceptional nurse when I see one.
