In the worst moment of my life, Keegan gave me comfort and support that I will always be grateful for.
I would like to nominate Keegan Telfer for the DAISY Award because of the incredible compassion and care he showed my family during one of the darkest times of our lives. My mother-in-law was in the ICU, and tragically, she passed away unexpectedly. Keegan was with us through this heartbreaking experience. He patiently explained what was happening and kept us updated on her status, even when the news was difficult to hear. His calm presence, clear communication, and steady support helped us navigate a situation that felt like a nightmare.
What stood out most was his compassion. He didn't just provide clinical care—he cared for our family as human beings who were grieving and overwhelmed. Keegan's kindness brought us comfort in a time of shock and sadness, and his professionalism gave us a sense of peace when we needed it most. What meant the most was how much he cared—not just for my mother-in-law, but for our entire family. He showed kindness, empathy, and support when we needed it most. I will always remember the way Keegan helped guide us through such a painful experience, and I am so grateful for the care he gave. I will never forget the way Keegan supported us through this loss. He is a truly special nurse who embodies the heart of nursing.
