Our daughter was admitted to the NICU after being born in Corning Hospital and needing to be transported to Arnot. Many nurses had passed by, seeing me leaning over the crib trying to interact with my daughter as best I could with the tubes and wires coming from her. Keanu happened to look over and see my struggle to bond with my daughter, and came over to tell me I could hold her and assisted in making that happen immediately. Feeling her in my arms for the first time filled both of our hearts as I could feel her physical response to the warmth of her daddy cuddling her.

Keanu was assigned to our daughter the following night and continued to impress me with his caring and compassionate bedside manner. His humor stirred into his advice-giving made him approachable and relatable while assuring us that she was in good hands during the moments we couldn’t be there. Arnot has a great asset in this man, and I couldn’t say enough good about him. Thank you, Keanu, you were exactly what we needed at such a stressful time. You have a gift and are using that gift in such a noble way. Thank you again!

Keanu was a light in a cloudy situation when our daughter was admitted to the NICU. He was one of her nurses, and he was extremely helpful in helping us see the good in the situation. He was an endless bound of good positive energy, even when our daughter would just give him the dirtiest looks and attitudes she threw his way. He took it all in stride. She was so active when he was around as well. It was amazing and would bring a smile to our much-needed faces. So, we would love it if Keanu could win this award. He truly deserves it.
