I am an Oncology ICU patient. The time I have spent here has been unfortunate, but it was needed for my health. I thought I could take a couple of minutes to talk about Nurse Kay. She has gone above and beyond to make my stay here the most comfortable, caring, and professional experience I could receive.

Nurse Kay has shown me true professionalism and the most courtesy and caring I have ever experienced. Even during the holidays, she stayed late after her shift. She made sure I was taken care of and comfortable before going home. Though she could have easily just left, she did not. On her own time, she showed me she cared and that I was taken care of before she returned to her home.

She showed me I was more than just a name or number. The least I could do is take the time to recommend her for this award. Barnes-Jewish Hospital should be thankful she is a nurse employed by you. She truly shows professionalism, caring, and clinical knowledge that I can hope for as a nurse. I feel best to have had her as my nurse.
