When one is walking through the cold, sterile floor of a stroke unit in a hospital, one does not expect to be met with a warm ball of optimistic energy, but that's Kaylee Johnson's gift. From the moment I met Kaylee, all the previously held pessimistic thoughts I carried quickly floated out the door. She was the first person who made me feel and believe that I would truly be okay. She completely on her own referred me to another nurse with the same disease. In doing so, she was already going above and beyond to make sure I was okay. She understood that there are deep-rooted, ongoing issues with MS that I would face.

What was most meaningful to me was that she truly cared about my mental health. The power of connection and conversation between a truly loving nurse and their patient during a time of struggle can change their entire life. And that's what Kaylee did - she changed my outlook on life by simply being the ball of energy she is. Kaylee is extraordinarily professional, open-minded, attentive, helpful, and most importantly, is full of love, and I really believe that’s exactly what I need in my predicament. Thank you all.
