I met Kayla, who cared for me during the second day of induction and felt immediately comforted and at ease.
My first pregnancy experience itself was so smooth, but when it came to the delivery, it was a whole different experience. At my 39-week appointment, I learned I would need to be induced and this was something I never pictured myself needing given how smooth everything else was with my pregnancy.

Upon first meeting the nurses at M Health Fairview Ridges, I felt less anxious, given that they all seemed so kind and caring. Then I met Kayla, who cared for me during the second day of induction and felt immediately comforted and at ease. Her demeanor was professional yet empathetic, and she was so encouraging. When it came time to begin pushing the baby, Kayla was my number one advocate and motivator. For someone I just met, it felt like one of those moments you have a guardian angel looking out for you. I’m sure she provides this level of care for all her patients. It takes a truly remarkable person to display this level of compassion. I ended up pushing for five hours, and Kayla was there the entire time. She even came to see my husband, baby girl, and me after her shift before she went home. When I needed to stay at the hospital an extra day for monitoring, Kayla came by to check on me and provide additional encouragement that everything would be OK. And she was right. It was, and her words once again comforted me and made me feel more confident in my journey as a new mother.

Thank you, Kayla!
