This was not a task she was obligated to perform; rather, it was a selfless act of compassion driven by her desire for me to get the much-needed rest essential for my recovery.
I want to thank Kayce Boeding for the wonderful care that she provided to me. I found her to have great compassion and love during my time in the CVICU. Some people come to work to perform a job but not Kayce…she made me feel that she was here as a calling to her life. All I had to do was call her name, and within a few seconds, she was at my side, making me comfortable.
Kayce went above and beyond to care for me, and I don't think I will ever forget her. On my second night in the CVICI, I could not rest or get comfortable in the bed, so I asked her to set me up in the recliner. She helped me up, got me in that chair, got me settled, tucked me in with pillows, and turned on the fan. I finally slept. She did not have to do all of that, but she wanted me to get some rest so I could continue to get better. She listened to me, demonstrated compassion, and really set the bar high for others to follow.

A Deep Bow of Gratitude to Kayce: A Beacon of Compassion in the CVICU. I am writing this with immense gratitude to express my heartfelt thanks to Kayce for the extraordinary care she provided during my time in the CVICU. From the moment I met her, it was clear that Kayce is not just performing a job, but rather living out a profound calling. Her presence radiated a genuine compassion and love that deeply touched me and made a significant difference in my recovery journey. Kayce's attentiveness was remarkable. All I ever had to do was utter her name, and within mere seconds, she was at my bedside, ready to address my needs and ensure my comfort.
This level of responsiveness went far beyond what one might expect; it was a testament to her unwavering dedication to her patients. I truly believe I will never forget her exceptional care. One particular night stands out vividly in my memory. It was my second night in the CVICU, and despite my best efforts, I found myself unable to rest or get comfortable in the hospital bed. Feeling increasingly restless, I hesitantly asked Kayce if she could help me move to the recliner. Without a moment's hesitation, she sprang into action. She carefully helped me up, guided me to the recliner, and then meticulously ensured I was settled.
She surrounded me with pillows, making sure every part of me was supported and cozy, and even turned on the fan to create a more soothing environment. It was in that recliner, thanks to Kayce's thoughtful and proactive efforts, that I finally found peace and drifted off to sleep.
This was not a task she was obligated to perform; rather, it was a selfless act of compassion driven by her desire for me to get the much-needed rest essential for my recovery. She truly listened to my discomfort, understood my need for a change, and acted with such genuine empathy. Kayce has undoubtedly set an incredibly high standard for others to emulate. Her ability to demonstrate such profound compassion and dedication to her patients is truly inspiring. Thank you, Kayce, from the bottom of my heart, for your exceptional care. You are a truly remarkable individual, and your impact on my well-being will forever be etched in my memory.
