While all the staff did a good job, Ms. Kay has the unique talent of bringing her profession to a level that her patients can understand, regardless of the pain they are experiencing, which was initially overwhelming. With no frustration, impatience, or shortness in words or action, she patiently explained what she was doing and why. Your hospital should be honored to have such an amazing nurse. With no hesitation, she ensured medicine was delivered and administered promptly. For a 76-year-old, tough-as-nails, six-foot-tall, independent man—who just two weeks ago was push mowing his own yard—this care was deeply appreciated. Being suddenly unable to care for himself has been a traumatic experience, but having Kay by his side to support him through each difficult step of the journey made all the difference. There are always good and bad experiences in life, but in a life-altering situation such as this, it was truly a pleasure to have Kay as part of D’s care.
