Katie is a very special RN. She works very hard, is very dedicated to her job, and is always smiling.

A 70-year-old man was a patient a week ago. This patient lived in a very horrible situation. The patient was full of bedbugs, very sick, and had lost a lot of weight. Bedbugs will make every nurse run away, but not Katie. She was the only one who took the initiative, the only one who stepped up to help the patient.

Katie took our patient to the decontamination room and cleaned the patient, showing so much caring compassion, truly a wonderful nurse. The patient was very satisfied and happy with the care Katie showed.

Katie has always taken the initiative to care for every patient the same and is always the first one to help. Truly, I was amazed. I have worked in many hospitals; the initiative Katie took to help a patient where contamination was present was unique and special. She is a nurse who was willing to go beyond what is necessary to take care of others.
