From the moment she walks onto the unit, she brings with her an energy that lifts the entire floor. Her positivity is truly infectious, whether it is a busy shift or a quiet one; she finds ways to keep morale high and spirits even higher. She is not only a joy to work with, but also a source of calm and encouragement for the staff.
Beyond her upbeat attitude, Katie is exceptionally smart and clinically sharp. Her depth of knowledge, quick critical thinking, and thorough attention to detail make her a trusted resource among the team. She's always willing to answer questions, talk through assessments, and explain the "why" behind what we do, no matter how busy she is. Her passion for teaching and mentoring is evident, and newer nurses (and even seasoned ones) benefit daily from her guidance and support.
She leads by example with compassion, excellence, and professionalism. And for those of us lucky enough to work alongside her, she's not just a nurse, she's a breath of fresh air that reminds us why we do what we do.
