While in the ER for a problem that I had been trying to get a diagnosis of for over 6 weeks, Katie became my greatest advocate to get some resolution.  Katie went above and beyond by both being very knowledgeable and getting me the information I needed so that I understood all the hypotheses, procedures, tests, and analyses that finally produced a workable diagnosis.  Katie went so far as to get the doctor back into my examination room to further explain my procedures, results, and at-home care.

I have been in different hospitals over the years, and I have had quadruple bypass surgeries, thus many nurses as well. During some of these hospital stays, I had determined quite a few years ago, that I needed to have a family member with me so I knew I had an advocate to ensure I was getting the care I needed. I felt that Katie was such an advocate that I was comfortable enough to tell my wife she could go home. I felt very confident that Katie would demand that I receive all the care, and attention I needed. I knew Katie would ask questions about procedures to ensure all my care was in my best interest.

Katie was absolutely the best nurse I have ever had. I am sure she wouldn't remember me because I believe she treats all her patients with such fervor, but I will always remember her. I will also make Parker Adventist Hospital my "Go To" hospital for my emergency needs!
