She took her time to make sure my mother and I felt comfortable. The world would be a better place if we had more humans like Katia.
Katia should be nominated because she is the nicest nurse I’ve ever encountered. In telling you from past experiences, I’ve met a lot of mean ones and non-caring nurses. Every time I get admitted to a hospital, I always wonder how I will be treated this time, given that in my past experiences, my feelings have been hurt, sad, but true. I wish we had more nurses like Katia, such a heart-warming person, attentive, caring, and compassionate. She made sure I was comfortable, and one thing that really stood out was when she was going on her lunch break, and she left the room. My IV machine started to go off, and she could have ignored it and let someone else deal with it, but no, Katia came right back and said to me I heard the beep, and I just had to turn around and make sure to fix it with a big smile on her face. Katie is a beautiful soul, in and out. She deserves to get the DAISY Award and much more.

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care Katia provided for my mother during her stay. Her patience, kindness, outstanding personality, compassion, and willingness to answer all my questions. She went above and beyond to meet my mother’s needs. She took her time to make sure my mother and I felt comfortable. The world would be a better place if we had more humans like Katia. I hope that one day she becomes a nurse supervisor so that she can be a great example to every nurse on how compassion can impact many! She sure deserves the DAISY Award and more! Katia, God bless you!
