We maintain an employee of the month nomination box for our unit. This week when I opened it, I found 5 nominations from different members of the family for Kathryn. I wanted to also include these comments because they should be seen by more than just me.

Kathryn took care of one of our oncology families recently and just did an amazing job. She handled the situation with excellence. She was able to get the doctors involved in a timely manner and still was able to maintain professionalism and calmness with the family. She was there with them and the family knew that they were being taken excellent care of.

As I understand it, Kathryn played an instrumental part in my granddaughter's recovery from a life-threatening situation in February. For this I will remain eternally grateful!

Her quick actions and knowledge resulted in her saving my little sister’s life. We needed her here with us and cannot thank you enough! She is a wonderful nurse.

My daughter had a life-threatening condition that put her in the ICU and Kathryn was her nurse. Kathryn acted quickly, knew what to do and when to call for help. We feel like Kathryn played a big part in saving her life. Thank you so much Kathryn.

Kathryn is special to me because she saved my life. I went into septic shock, and she was by my side the whole time. This was a very scary time for my family and me, but Kathryn brought us comfort with her calm and strong exterior that she kept during the whole thing. She even stayed in the ICU with me. I can’t imagine what the outcome of the situation would have been if it weren’t for Kathryn. I wouldn’t be here without her. Thank you, Kathryn.
