Katherine Ensminger went above and beyond for an OR patient before sending them to their assigned unit. When the patient's pain wasn't improving, not only did she hold sending the patient to the unit, but she also had meds added for the patient and had the XS team reassess to ensure the patient was safe and there wasn't an unseen complication. She also started the PCA pump to better relieve the patient's pain, then once there was an improvement, she brought the patient to me and gave a bedside handover. She's a treasure.
