Katherine Diaz, BSN, RN
I want to express my deepest gratitude and highest recommendation for the extraordinary care my beautiful nurse, Katherine, provided during one of the most frightening experiences of my life.
I was hospitalized after passing out due to extremely low blood pressure/sugar/electrolytes and was admitted to the ICU before later being transferred to the Cardiac Unit.
From the very beginning, Katherine treated me with exceptional compassion, patience, and professionalism. During a time when I was physically weak, emotionally overwhelmed, and frightened about my condition, she consistently made me feel safe, heard, and cared for.
She never made me feel like a burden, even when I had many questions and concerns. Instead, she took the time to explain things clearly, checked on me often, and made sure I understood what was happening with my treatment and recovery.
What stood out most was not only her medical professionalism, but her genuine kindness and humanity. She showed sincere concern for me and my family. My mother was extremely worried and distressed seeing me in the ICU. However, after seeing the great nurses in the Cardiac Unit, my mother seemed much more reassured.
My mother also specifically pointed out Katherine for her patience, empathy, and respect. Katherine created an environment where we felt supported, not alone. My father, who is a doctor, heard about my progress and treatment and received exceptional advice and updates from Katherine.
Katherine’s calm demeanor, caring attitude, and dedication helped reduce my anxiety during a vulnerable time in my life. Nurses like her are truly special and make a big difference in patients’ lives.
